Antipolo City – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) started the celebration of the 60-year journey of science and technology (S&T) in the Philippines on 22 July 2018 at SM Cherry Antipolo.
The leading agency in the provision of central direction and coordination for all technical and scientific endeavors in support to the country’s national development is partnering with SM Supermalls in bringing S&T closer to the Filipino population.
SM Investment Corporation, one of the Philippines’ largest conglomerates and the most dominant player in retail, also celebrates its 60th anniversary this year which coincides with the Department’s diamond year.
The DOST, through the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI), is exhibiting the products and technologies developed and assisted by the Department and its attached agencies.
Developed technologies are DOST’s contribution in helping solve the pressing problems widely present in the country ranging in different fields such as in health, agriculture, nutrition, transportation, disaster-risk management, and climate change, to name a few.
DOST-developed and -assisted products are also featured in SM Cherry Antipolo
