DOST-TAPI now ISO 9001:2015 certified

ISO 2018

The Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) has passed the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO 9001:2015 audits on 20 and 27 June 2018.

“This achievement highlights our commitment in assuring our stakeholders that we continue to serve with the highest quality standards and improve our operations in meeting client satisfaction,” said Director Edgar I. Garcia.

DOST-TAPI is the key government agency responsible for promoting the commercialization of DOST and DOST-funded technologies, and for marketing the services of the other operating units of the Department.

With the recent certification, the Institute can guarantee its clients and customers consistent and good quality services, and rounded business benefits in providing assistance related to technology promotion, transfer, and commercialization.

The adoption of a quality management system (QMS) – the way the organization directs and controls its activities, is a strategic decision that can help improve DOST-TAPI’s overall performance and provide a sound foundation for sustainable development initiatives.

Moreover, the ISO 9000 family of standards provides guidance and tools in ensuring that organizations consistently meet customer’s requirements through quality management system.

The continued ISO certification demonstrates DOST-TAPI’s eager commitment and adherence to QMS for greater customer approval’s seal of excellence in public service.
