Project Title: “Support to the Implementation of the SciTech Superhighway Program of the DOST and IPOPHL/DTI”

One (1) Senior Science Research Specialist (Sr. SRS) as support staff
Status of Appointment: Contractual/Project-Based Staff
Monthly Salary: P56,149.20
Duration: Six (6) months (subject for renewal)

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
Training: Eight (8) hours of relevant training

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in any S&T field;
2. Two (2) years of relevant experience;
3. Eight (8) hours of relevant training;
4. Good moral character;
5. Willing to travel and work on extended working hours without additional compensation;
6. Innovative thinker and doer, with a drive to excel in a unique field of specialization; and
7. Knowledgeable in IP commercialization and technology transfer pursuant to Republic Act No. 10055.

Desirable Qualifications:
1. A registered Patent Agent or at least an experienced IP/Patent Paralegal;
2. Experience in project management;
3. Experience in dealing with experts and other relevant stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist the program manager in any patenting-related concerns that may require his/her expertise from time to time;
2. Review the assessments and evaluation prepared by the Science Research Specialist II particularly in the determination of the completeness of submission;
3. Render advisory services to applicants/recommend remedial actions for applications which are incomplete and do not comply with the technical requirements of IPOPHL;
4. Assist in monitoring and reporting of activities to ensure the timely accomplishment of Project’s deliverables;
5. Facilitate the preparation and submission of the Project’s accomplishments reports;
6. Prepare publicity or promotional materials of the Project;
7. Accommodate walk-in, phone calls, e-mail inquiries from clients and stakeholders;
8. Perform other related duties/tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
