Two of the Department of Science and Technology - Technology Application and Promotion Institute’s (DOST-TAPI) in-house campaigns emerged as contenders amongst 90 unique entries from marketing industry leaders in the Marketing Excellence Awards.

The Lunduyan Culminating Event bagged the Bronze Award in the Public Sector / Non-Profit Marketing Category, while the Shape the Future campaign was one of the eight finalists in the Public Relations / Communications Category.

Lunduyan Culminating Event

The first of its kind, the event which happened on October 2, 2023, showcased 28 trailblazing technologies and innovations from diverse fields which include Food and Manufacturing, Health and Wellness, Agriculture, Industry, Energy, Environment, and Medium, Small, and Microenterprises (MSMEs).

Along with the premise of building a community hinged on science and technology excellence, the event recognized the ingenuity of innovation leaders and celebrated the partnerships forged towards the achievement of the said goals.

Lunduyan was also able to showcase local science-based innovators while advocating support for the agency’s advocacies, thus enhancing the country’s innovation scene.

Shape The Future

The Institute banks on its premise of supporting Filipino innovations, helping them reach their full potential and make their mark on the global scene. Last April, nine locally-made inventions participated in the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.

This gave birth to the ‘Shape the Future’ campaign, which helped promote the DOST-assisted innovations as they took center stage in the international exhibition.  The inventions eventually bagged major awards, with all nine receiving silver and bronze distinctions.

Soaring towards excellence

The awards serve as a testament to the Institute’s continuous pursuit of excellence.  The remarkable feat underscores DOST-TAPI’s never-ending desire to aim for greater things, not only in the field of marketing but also in making these inventions known and visible to society.

Science should serve and be with the people. The feat is only the beginning of more advocacy-driven works for the Institute, as it strives to prove how local ingenuity could help in shaping the future and improving Filipinos’ quality of life.
