Bicutan, Taguig City - The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) proudly showcases the DOST Technology Hub (TecHub), a centralized platform wherein Filipinos can connect with the department’s technological innovation and services. TecHub is designed to be a crucial resource in navigating the processes of the following: adoption, transfer, and commercialization, providing a platform for DOST’s dedication to bringing science and technology closer to the people and accelerating improvement across its key sectors.
Aligned with the President of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.’s socioeconomic agenda, TecHub directly prioritizes these crucial areas in national development,t including Livelihood, Food, Health, Water and Environment, Energy, Transportation, Climate and Disaster Resiliency, and Digital Transformation. The platforms provide a comprehensive overview of DOST’s contributions to these sectors, encouraging more collaborations and elevating the journey of research to real-world applications.
While DOST has made notable contributions to research and development, data reveals a critical need to enhance its commercialization efforts. In 2022, there are 89 DOST Research and Development Institutes (RDIs) showed that only 51% (44 out of 89) had not successfully commercialized their technologies, with only 24 RDIs achieving successful commercialization.
Furthermore, of the 484 total technologies developed, only 146 (30.17%) have reached the market. This gap highlights a significant opportunity to translate these scientific innovations into tangible benefits for our society.

DOST-TAPI offers a range of programs to support innovators and entrepreneurs, including: Technology Innovation for Commercialization (TECHNiCOM), Grants and Assistance to Leverage Innovations for National Growth (GALING), Venture Financing Program (VFP), Honing Innovations, Research, Agreements and Negotiations of the Government-Funded Technologies (HIRANG) 2.0 Program, and Innovation and Technology (I-Tech) Lending Program under Invention Guarantee Fund (IGF) of R.A. 7459.
