The Benita and Catalino Yap Foundation (BCYF) recognized the technologies assisted by the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department and Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) during the first BCYF Innovation Awards on 20 February 2017 at the Kalayaan Hall, Malacañang Palace, Manila.
The Award was on the lookout for innovations that made significant impacts in uplifting the lives of the Filipino population.
The Civil Service Commision - National Capital Region (CSC-NCR) Field Office through Director Dick N. Echavez, personally awarded the CSC registered CNA to TAPI Director Engr. Edgar I. Garcia and to eager and enthusiastic officers of TAPIEA last 13 March 2017 at the office of the Director as a reflection of good relationship between the management and the employees of the Department of Science and Technology - Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI). The CNA is valid for three (3) years from the date of signing.
Another milestone has been unveiled as the Department of Science and Technology through the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI) brought its major Technology Transfer Day in Mindanao, December 13, at the SMX Convention Center, Lanang, Davao City.
Seen in full action are different industry-based Fairness Opinion Boards (FOB) which also served during the Technology Transfer Day events in Luzon and Visayas earlier this year, as they evaluated proposed transactions during the event, provided actual negotiations and drafting of licensing agreements to commercialize government-funded research projects.
If you missed the 1st Technology Transfer Day last 27 April 2016 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila and the one conducted in Ormoc City, Leyte last 14 September 2016, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ensures to reach out even the farthest regions in the country.
DOST in collaboration with MINDA DOST Regions will hold the Mindanao Technology Transfer Day on 13 December 2016 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City.
The event will showcase Filipino innovations that will initiate partnerships among technology generators, research institutions, investors and stakeholders. Through this, ground of opportunities will be opened for Mindanao enterprises and organizations to invest on local technologies for licensing and adoption in the same areas such as Agricultural Productivity, Industry Competitiveness, Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction Management and quality healthcare.
