With its continuous pursuit in inspiring the new generation of Filipino scientists, the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) will host a webinar for the youth.
As a part of a week-long series of events, the Science Youth Fest 2021 will be conducted on 29 July 2021 to immerse the students in a series of comprehensive talks with topics on intellectual property (IP) and innovation in today’s modern world.
The Science Youth Fest is happening on 29 July 2021 as part of the Week-Long Accomplishment and Culminating Activity of Special Projects by DOST-TAPI
With the theme, “Making Ideas, Discoveries, and Dreams Come True,” the Science Youth Fest includes speakers from DOST-TAPI’s Invent School Program and other esteemed innovators.
In return, the participants are expected to impart their stories on how they were able to achieve success in their projects with the help of DOST-TAPI.
“I am convinced that stirring the minds of the youth towards basic IP concepts can excite them on how their simple dreams can turn into reality,” said Rodel R. Oracion, Science Youth Fest Chairperson.
Believing in the relevance of the topics for the students, Oracion also said that they want to inform the youth of the possibility of becoming a young inventor.
“The topics foster the youth towards being scientifically and technologically inclined that would ultimately benefit our society,” he stressed.
With every effort put in to make the Science Youth Fest a fun and meaningful experience for the attendees, the webinar is designed to create an enjoyable atmosphere while weighing heavily on pursuing the youth’s goals of creating new technologies and protecting their ideas.
The Science Youth Fest is just one of the ways DOST reaches out to aspiring young inventors and scientists to cultivate their dreams of making our society better one innovation at a time.
The event is expected to be attended by over 500 students from different academies and organizations all over the country.
