We are honored to launch our new program of assistance for Filipino inventors, which will be done today, September 28, 2017, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). We call this the “Innovation and Technology Lending Program”, or simply “I-TECH”.
Three (3) innovative projects were approved by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) under the Technology Innovation for Commercialization (TECHNICOM) Program, one of the premier programs being implemented by the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI), during the first semester of 2017.
TECHNICOM provides support to commercially-viable projects through financial and technical assistance by fast-tracking the transfer and commercialization of research-based, locally-developed technologies.
Moreover, the Program provides funding assistance for prototype development, pilot-scale testing, technology validation, field testing, and feasibility study preparation and consultancy service for Intellectual Property (IP) for DOST-funded technologies.
The approved projects included the R-TAP (an advanced pressure management system for water utilities), cacao by-products processing enterprise, and mosquito-repellent textile products.
